Story
It would have been our daughter Katies 20th birthday next month, my vision was a ball to celebrate and remember her short life. My great friend Helen and myself did all the organising and initially we were worried about the numbers due to cost etc. We ended up filling the marquee at the New House Country Hotel in Thornhill Cardiff with a fabulous 20 tables in total. The hotel were great and gave us the marquee free along with chair covers, a discounted meal cost and drinks. We used Katies influence in colours,black and pink, names of her horses the stables and her favourite pet names. We also put a display of her photos up for people to view. It was a great event we ran a raffle and silent auction for raising money, and had great prizes including a pair of worn Gareth Bale boots which our son Ben managed to obtain. A great prize that brought in £400. The best thing about it was the fact all attendees were friends of Katie's and the family, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun and i think i can say on behalf of everyone it really was a great night.Updates
